<a href="http://www.learnspanishcenter.com/reviews/rocket-spanish-review.php">Rocket Spanish</a>

Te amo is for your girl/boyfriend or your wife/husband, Te quiero is for your family and friends. Te amo is a very strong phrase in Spanish, it suggests that you are in love with those person. Also you can't say "yo amo las hamburguesas"; to say you love something, you may use, "me encanta", for example "me encantan las hamburguesas", o "me encantan las rosas".

Can be "le-les" too, in fact many times the only correct form as you know "les digo a ustedes" is correct, "los/las digo a ustedes" uncorrect.

Thank you for explaining this. This clears up when to use them. Is English the only language where all forms of "love" is covered in that one word?
