Flash cards. Work with another student so you’ll both learn at the same time. If you listen to a language while sleeping, you won’t remember a thing.

Actually, learning lists of vocabulary words is not the best way to acquire a language. The best way is to learn those words in context, such as conversations, movies, etc., rather than isolated.
For now, watch Spanish tv and films, and listen for the words on your vocabulary lists. But also, first chance you get, try to plan a homestay in a Spanish speaking country where you will interact with members of the host family, students of that country, stores, etc. Or else volunteer through an organization or your church to go south of the border and help out on a community project. Your vocabulary will increase by leaps and bounds.
