Spend the summer in a spanish speaking country! You’ll be fluent in the end.

Go to Spain or Mexico (or any other country where Spanish is the dominant language) and live for a month.
Total immersion will have you pick up the language faster than any other method.

I learned a good deal of Spanish, just living in California, and working with mostly hispanics. I think the best way to learn Spanish is to be around nothing but Spanish-speaking natives. You would learn Spanish the fastest, by studying a Spanish book (from your schools library or Spanish class) and taking a 6 month vacation to a non-tourist area of Mexico, and just try to make some friends. This may not be practical, but you would learn the dilects and ‘figures of speech’ etc. that cannot be taught in a textbook.

watch some spanish tv shows or even listening to some spanish singers, best thing to learn the language is to actually live in a spanish speaking country. Guatemala is the best deal!! beautiful country, cheap and people are always nice!
Buena suerte!

Go to a Spanish speaking country, meet a friend who’s trying to learn English so you can both try to converse, or get those audio tapes, although I have to admit after hearing my friend’s dad listen to the tapes, it gets boring. I learned French by going to France for a semester…you’d be surprised how quickly you learn a language when your lunch money depends on it!

The easiest way is to purchase the Pimsleur method of CDs in a bookstore’s reference section. The system is designed for immersion in the language and is known to be very successful.

My primary language is Spanish and I have about 2 and a half years speaking English. I didn’t know even the numbers from one to ten. But now I go to college and every day I am learning.
If you want to learn Spanish, the first step is to translate your own words in to Spanish; so you can start getting familiar with it. Then, buy a book with basic sentence structure for the Spanish Language. You know, subject, verb, and body organization in order to form a simple sentense. Third, start looking at written material in the Spanish Language. The four step is to start speaking with a Spanish speaker, so you can listen the language’s pronunciation. And finally, you’ll find your own way to learn it.
You can do it. And remember, you are going to have the same difuculties I had and have; like “Quiebra Hielo” is equal to “Ice Break” Youl see in several cases that in Spanish Language the verb is first and the subjet is after. On the other hand, in English Language you are used to say the subject first and then the action verb.
You know, you are a teacher and your purpose is to help other to learn. Therefore, you know that it is a learnig process.
Yea, good idea; not only for this job; for any other job opportunity.
