It depends on what you are going to be doing in the near future.
Spanish is quickly becoming the second language in this country, but many more countries around the world speak French.

Why not learn the both? These languages are quite similar, it’s quite easy for french people to learn spanish ( I’m french), and I heard that for americans, spanish is easier than french? so on your place, while you’re still studying, I would learn french, and after few months or years, I would learn spanish? Good luck!

You live in California? Isn’t it obvious that you should know Spanish? LOL But seriously, Spanish is going to be a second language here just like French is in Canada, I’m afraid, so Spanish is probably the way to go. Maybe both? Then you can be quad-lingual? =) Good luck, it sounds like languages are easy for you!

why don’t you learn both of them.they’re almost the same.I have learned french and spanish and i didn’t find it very difficult.It’s a plus to know many languages.

French because of CERN and the EU and the business community - they all use French. Spanish is better as a language if you are planning on, say, working in Mexico. But why don’t you learn both? (Good luck at college by the way)
